Guillain-Barré syndrome is a type of autoimmune disease that affects the nerve system and how it works. GBS is not contagious and does not run in families.
Physical therapists are movement specialists. Quality of life can be improved via hands-on care, patient education, and suggested mobility. You can directly contact a physical therapist for an evaluation.
GBS will be diagnosed by our Cure Rehab physiotherapist, and you will be referred to physical treatment. Your physical therapist will work with you to build a treatment plan that includes exercises and treatments that you can do on your own to help you recover faster. Physical therapy will help you go back to your normal routine and activities as quickly as possible. The time it takes to help fix the condition varies from person to person, but improvements can be observed in as little as a month.
